Founded in 1968, the Acton Golf Club is an attractive course neatly tucked away on the edge of the Niagara Escarpment. The course plays through mature stands of oak, birch, maple and pine trees.
Although the course features a fairly short 5155 yard par 68 layout, golfers should not take Acton too lightly. Exceptionally tight, tree-lined fairways and water play on just about every hole, means a golfer always has his or her hands full staying out of trouble.
More difficulty is found on Acton's large greens, which are all well protected by water and/or sand. Uneven surfaces and hard to read slopes always make putting a challenge, and three putting is, unfortunately, not uncommon.
